The mission of the School Nurse/Health Program is to maintain and improve the health status of students, thus enabling them to profit fully from their educational experiences, and to promote optimum health status and lifestyles for all students through the joint efforts of the home, school, and community.

Healthy Smiles Happen at School

The Help A Child Smile dental program has partnered with Clay County Schools to offer full-service in-school dental care starting next school year. This service is for children without a dentist. There is no cost for children insured with Medicaid/ Peachcare. Please visit the school or the following website for more information Help A Child Smile Registration forms are available online.

New Immunization Requirements for students entering 7th Grade

Before starting the school year, all students born on or after January 1, 2002, and entering or transferring into 7th grade will need proof ofwhooping cough (Tdap) booster shot and a meningococcal (MC/4) shot. Ask your pediatrician or local health department for more information about these and other immunizations.
